What I love about winter, animals go from this [link] to this [link]
I know it's not quite December yet but there is only a week to go and the Christmas spirit is starting to pick up here in chilly England.
I've been listening to a load of the Christmas Classics whilst drawing this but without a doubt, this has always been my favourite, with Merry Christmas by Slade being in close second [link] and I LOVE the film this was in, without a doubt THE best Christmas film ever.
This is very appealing. I like the way you've outlined the hairs of the dogs. How over beware of the when to use thick lines or thin lines. To much thickness can create a ruff appearance if not done correctly. For instance the lines of the scarf look delicate but as they move toward the neck they become hair and become unappealing to the viewer. But the use of thin lines creates a soft surface. Also had some contrast of the paws and some shadows on the fur. Anything that is on that picture plane should have some shadows. With out shadows it makes the object to appear as if its floating. The highlights of the scarf is rendered really good. This is my favorite part of the piece. Good job.
